Apple Health for Kids

Washington Apple Health for Kids (Children's Medicaid) is affordable health insurance offered by the State for children in Washington. Washington Apple Health  for Kids provides medical, dental, vision and mental health benefits to children under age 19. There are no deductibles or co-pays. The insurance is free or low cost depending on your family’s gross monthly income and is available to both citizen and non-citizen children.

What if my child already has private health insurance?

Your child cannot have private health insurance and the Apple Health low cost coverage at the same time. If your private health insurance is ending soon your children may be eligible. State rules may require a wait period of 4 months after your private health insurance ends.
